Wrath of the Lich King already made the announcement of Arena Season 5 on December 16, though it feels kind of sudden. It’s time to get down and catch up on what’s happening in the current and hopefully the greatest Arena season. If you have what it takes to reach Arena given you are at Level 71-75 and 76-80, read on this quick rundown about the new Arena Season 5.

Gain a step up in Arena Season 5 when you are on Level 70 and Level 80 to participate in rated Arena matches, acquire personal and team ratings and earn Arena Points to purchase Arena gear. Without doubt, Level 80 is where it’s at. End of the season rewards possibly new 310% speed flying mounts are only eligible for those players at Level 80.

How do I form an Arena team?
The requirements needed to form an Arena team are quite similar when forming a guild. You can visit any of the Goblin Arena Organizers in any of the capital cities, Blade’s Edge Mountains, Nagrand, or Tanaris and purchase an Arena Team Charter. Unless prices have been inflated for Level 80, a 2v2 Team Charter should cost 80 Gold, a 3v3 Charter is 120 Gold, and a 5v5 Charter is 200 Gold. Level 80 players might find it easier to talk to “Baroness” Llana or Kanika Goldwell in the Underbelly of Dalaran to purchase their team charters.

How long will Season 5 going to last?
Arena Seasons tend to last long for several months. Previous seasons such as Season one lasted for 20 weeks, Season two lasted for 23 weeks, Season three lasted a long 29 weeks. While Season 4, in contrast, lasted for a mere 17 weeks to accommodate Patch 3.0 and the timely release of Wrath of the Lich King.

Recruit the appropriate number of players to sign your team charter (2, 3 and 5 including yourself) and submit your players list to any Arena organizer for registration. After which, you will asked to finalize your team name and choose your team colors, after which your team is ready to participate in Arenas. Team Captains can invite more players into your Arena team by typing ‘/teaminvite [2v2, 3v3, 5v5] [player]‘. An Arena team can have up to twice its bracket size in members (e.g., 4 members for a 2v2 team).

What Arena or Honor Items can I purchase?
