Your quest in Northrend may seem to be daunting and exciting at the same time. Wrath of the Lich King involves thinking of strategies given characters and stories charging forward in the epic adventure game. If you’re into lore and role playing, we have a fresh and in-depth series of play guides. Blogatelle dishes out role playing on the 10 playable races of Azeroth and how each perceives and interacts with the world, their allies and their enemies.

Blogatelle managed to come up with a fascinating guide on some background into how each race reached a certain perspective including several race combinations who know very little about each other. Let’s get to know our World of Warcraft lore, shall we?

The Alliance

Draenei

The Draenei are about purity and incorruptibility. They are more likely to give their trust to those who have the combination of moral fortitude, disgust at the demonic and purpose that makes one resistant to the corruptive presence of demonic.

Night Elves

Harmony and station are the core values of night elves. Night elves fear radical change more than bloodshed. They hold on to their belief of “For a race that was eternal, there is never an excuse for unconsidered action.”

The Horde

Blood Elves

Blood elves can act based on rage, blame and impatience. Blood elves are a race in the balance. They have a chance to improve their lot and find salvation they seek. They have a real chance ahead of them when they stop blaming others for their failures and see other races as friends rather than play things.

Orcs

Orcs and Blood Elves may be allies however orcs don’t trust them. Orcs base their judgments of people based upon their classic war cry: Strength and Honor!

Tauren

Wisdom, serenity and tenacity are the key virtues of Taurens. They have no time for hastiness and foolishness. Similar to night elves, they dislike change as conservative as they are.

Trolls

The trolls are known to be savages who have barely restored into the Horde. They migrate without speed (very slowly) from the savage voodoo society to a more civilized shamanistic one.

Undead

The undead is undeniably lack to feel strong emotions. They feel nothing strong towards passionate negativity of hate or fury but rather the darker and more venomous emotions of bitterness and spite.

Role playing has an amazing way of telling the story most think not possible in an MMO. I hope role playing pumps up the excitement for the expansion of Wrath of the Lich King. Happy reading!
